Questions & answers
Quick answers about the PTA, paying for things, Santa letters and how to help.
About the PTA
Who can join the PTA?
Everyone! Every parent, carer and member of staff at St Michael’s is automatically part of the PTA. There’s no fee and no commitment — help as much or as little as suits you.
How is the money spent?
We ask the school what would make the biggest difference for the children, and the committee agrees what to fund. Everything we buy is listed on our impact page, with the cost.
Are you a registered charity?
We’re in the process of becoming one. Our charity number will appear at the bottom of every page once we’re registered.
Payments
How do I pay for tickets or Santa letters?
You can pay online by card, or by bank transfer using the reference we give you. Your order confirmation explains exactly how.
Can I get a refund?
If an event is cancelled we’ll refund you in full. Otherwise, please get in touch and we’ll always try to help.
Is my information safe?
Yes. We collect as little as we can, the website is encrypted, and only the people who need your details can see them. Read our privacy notice for the details.
Santa letters
How do the Santa letters work?
In the run-up to Christmas you can tell Father Christmas a little about your child — what they’ve been up to, what they love — and our elves help him write a personal letter back. Children’s details are encrypted and deleted in January.
Helping
Can I help without joining the committee?
Absolutely. Most help comes from parents giving an hour at an event or baking a cake. Look for volunteer slots on each event page.
Can my business sponsor the PTA?
Yes please! See our sponsorship packages, or contact us to talk about other ideas, such as donating a raffle prize.
Still got a question?
Send us a message and one of the committee will get back to you — we’re all volunteers, so please bear with us.
